Work hard, play hard, repeat

October 14th, 2016
This month I'm working and playing especially hard. cranbrook-kingswood-visit-kk-1016 - talking literature - what it's for, how it changes us - with the bright and engaging students  at Cranbrook Kingswood . . . - joining in the amazing yearly #TheLiteraryOthers LGBT reading event at Roof Beam Reader, with a post that looks at how we act when we act out our truest selves . . . talk_pb - popping up in the Indie Spotlight at TNBBC's The Next Best Book Blog to talk about CHRISTOPHER WILD  . . . christopher-wild_500 - going into rehearsals for NIGHT SCHOOL, my newest nerve production, based on Marlowe's immortal DOCTOR FAUSTUS and inspired by the "Night School" section of, yes, CHRISTOPHER WILD . . . shadow-selves - and heading to St. Paul MN to be guest of honor and present a solo performance piece, "The Art of Darkness," at Arcana 46. And every day I'm at my desk, working hard and having wild fun with CHRISTOPHER WILD. Whee, what a month! kathe_2909165_800

Night School

August 29th, 2016
Give me whatsoever I shall ask. Tell me whatsoever I demand.   Going ever deeper into CHRISTOPHER WILD - the novel is two-thirds complete, now - I'm also writing a companion piece: harsh light and darkness, music and movement, hell and heaven and everywhere in between, a one-night-only performance of Marlowe's words and mine. January 2017, time for NIGHT SCHOOL.   14081411_10210611261783489_705737399_n
